With ecclesiastical splendor and spiritual reverence, the Festive Hierarchical Vespers was celebrated on the evening of Thursday, May 7, at the Parish Church of Saint John the Theologian in Pothia, Kalymnos, on the eve of the feast of Saint John the Theologian and Evangelist.
The sacred service was presided over by His Eminence Metropolitan Paisios of Leros, Kalymnos, and Astypalaia, assisted by the parish priest Protopresbyter Nikolaos Kazavoulis and clergy of the region.
A large number of faithful gathered reverently at the celebrating church to honor Saint John the Theologian and receive the blessing of the feast day, creating an atmosphere of deep faith and spiritual devotion.The service was conducted with great ecclesiastical solemnity, while the strong participation of the faithful of Kalymnos once again highlighted the living religious tradition of the island.
