On the morning of Wednesday, April 29, 2026, His Eminence Metropolitan Ieremias of Florina, Prespes and Eordaia performed a Trisagion service in the courtyard of the Church of Saint George in Florina, at the tomb of his late predecessor, Metropolitan Basil of Florina (1932–1967), on the occasion of the anniversary of his repose.
Following this, the Metropolitan traveled to Ptolemaida, where he held meetings in his office with local officials and faithful. He also received a visit from teachers and students of the 6th Primary School of the city, with whom he engaged in conversation on various topics, offering them school and stationery supplies as a blessing.
Immediately afterwards, he visited the chapel of Saint George of the Employees’ Association of PPC S.A. “The Union,” where a blessing service (Artoklasia) was celebrated for the health and strengthening of all workers. The Metropolitan extended his wishes that Christ and Saint George may grant health, strength, and every blessing in their lives.
Finally, he visited the Holy Monastery of Saint Paraskevi in Mylocheio, Eordaia, where he met and spoke with the monastic sisters and also inspected the ongoing renovation works at the monastery.
