With feelings of joy and emotion, the pastoral visit of His Beatitude Patriarch John of Antioch took place on the morning of Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Chalcedon, during his stay in Constantinople. The presence of the distinguished guest was a blessing for the local ecclesiastical community and an occasion for a warm welcome by the clergy and the faithful.
His Beatitude was received, together with his entourage, by His Eminence Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon, the clergy, and representatives of the Community. In the courtyard of the church, young children of the Greek Orthodox community offered flowers to the Patriarch with great joy, receiving his blessing in return.
Following this, His Beatitude and his entourage venerated the sacred space and were given a tour of the cathedral. Exchanges of greetings and commemorative gifts took place with Metropolitan Emmanuel of Chalcedon.
