We have become very careless in the work of our salvation. As a result, we do not interpret many passages of Holy Scripture with the meaning that truly befits them. And all this happens because we do not seek the Grace of God and, due to our pride, we do not allow it to enter our souls. Thus, we lack the true enlightenment that God grants to all souls who hunger and thirst for His righteousness.
