We should be very careful about sins committed intentionally, because what God examines is our intention. The mistakes we make out of carelessness are lighter. Some sins are indeed sins, but they also have mitigating factors.
Then again, when we err without intending to, God arranges things in such a way that our mistake may be used for good. This does not mean that we should have erred in order for that good to happen; rather, since we fell unintentionally, God makes use of our mistake and brings about something good.
However, when we commit a fault knowingly and later repent, we should pray that no harm may result from the consequences of our mistake.
